With wide receiver Diontae Johnson and running back Anthony McFarland headed to injured reserve, former Pitt tailback, Qadree Ollison gets the call up to the active roster ahead of a critical Monday Night Football game against the Cleveland Browns, the team announced just hours prior to kickoff.
Ollison was a fifth-round pick of the Falcons in 2019 and spent each of his first four seasons with them. He was cut in 2022 and spent some time with the Dallas Cowboys on their practice squad and limited games on the active roster before being cut again. Ollison appeared in 22 games over his career so far and has 44 carries for 158 yards and five touchdowns to his name.
During his career at Pitt, Ollison helped power the dominant rushing attack that carried the Panthers to their first ACC Championship appearance in 2018. He was also the 2015 ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year after he rushed for more than 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns while James Conner was out with a season-ending ACL injury. Ollison rushed for 2,859 yards and 29 scores as a Panther.
