PITTSBURGH -- It didn't take long for the Pitt Panthers' new starting quarterback, Nate Yarnell to look comfortable leading the first team offense in just his second career start against Boston College.
Yarnell capped a 15-play, 85-yard drive that ate up 7:56 over two quarters with a four-yard touchdown run that put Pitt ahead over Boston College by a score of 10-3. Yarnell was not one to try and save his body, opting to dive for the score instead.

Yarnell had be running the read option to perfection early against the Eagles, averaging six yards per carry on his first three rushes. He gained a first down and scored a touchdown on two of those three rushes.
He also looked mightily comfortable throwing the ball behind an offensive line that stood up well against Boston College's pass rush. Yarnell completed five of his first eight passes for 90 yards before lunging for the touchdown run, Pitt's first of the game.
