Wiltz played just one season with the Panthers after transferring from FCS Missouri State. He saw his playing time increase exponentially as he got increasingly familiar with the playbook. He appeared in all 13 games, three of which were starts. He saved his best for last, combining for 13 tackles, 3.5 stops for a loss, two sacks and an interception between the regular season finale against Miami and the Sun Bowl vs UCLA.
He totaled 50 tackles, four for loss, two sacks, an interception, four passes defended and a forced fumble in a reserve role for Pitt. The 6'1, 210-pound backer participated in the Tropical Bowl at the end of his final season in college.
