Former Pitt CB Signing With Broncos

The former Pitt cornerback is headed to the Denver Broncos on a two-year deal.

Former Pitt cornerback K'Waun Williams is finalizing a deal with the Denver Broncos, according to Pro Football Network's Aaron Wilson.

Williams is signing a two-year, $7 million contract to join Denver's secondary. The 30-year-old spent the last five seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, starting 36 of his 65 games and recording four interceptions and 17 pass deflections.

Prior to San Francisco, Williams played two years and 26 games for the Cleveland Browns. He was released after an ankle injury and a suspension for a dispute with the staff.

Williams would become the Broncos CB3, replacing Bryce Callahan who remains a free agent. Last season, he played a career-high 648 snaps, showing he has plenty left in the tank at the NFL level.
