Three-Star Linebacker Trent Carter has Pitt in Top Five

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have made a strong impression on 2024 linebacker Trent Carter. He cut down his list of offers to just five this weekend and included Pitt among those finalists.
Carter, a three-star recruit from Jacksonville, Florida, had the Panthers in his top five alongside Memphis, Coastal Carolina, Appalachian State and Louisville.

Carter stands 6'3 and weighs 210 pounds. As he wraps up his junior year at the Bolles School, he is ranked as high as the No. 91 linebacker in his class (247Sports) and the No. 125 player in Florida (On3). The two-sport athlete in Olympic weightlifting was offered by Pitt in January but has yet to visit.
Carter has visited Louisville, UCF, USF and Duke so far this year. He holds other offers from Western Kentucky, UAB, Miami (OH), Charlotte and Nebraska.
