Pitt Makes Top Five for Elite WR Nick Marsh

The Pitt Panthers made a good impression on a four-star receiver last weekend.

PITTSBURGH -- Nick Marsh's visit with the Pitt Panthers last weekend must have gone well because the blue-chip wide receiver put them in his list of finalists.

Nicholas Marsh, a consensus four-star receiver, top-100 player in the class and top-15 receiver in the class announced on his Instagram that he is down to five schools - Pitt, Kansas, Penn State, Oregon and Michigan State.

"Big, physical receiver who has played up on the varsity since his freshman year. Has always been ahead of the curve as far as size and strength," 247Sports' Allen Trieu wrote in a scouting report. "Also has very good ball skills and the body control necessary to use his size. Contested passes are not really 50-50 balls for him as he comes down with a large percentage of them. ... Will have a chance to play early because he will be physically ready. Will be a major red-zone threat and a physical mismatch for opponents and projects as an impact outside receiver at the high-major level."

Marsh is a 6'3, 198-pound receiver from River Rouge, Michigan. He's ranked as high as the No. 2 player in Michigan (On3), No. 8 receiver in the class and No. 44 2024 prospect overall (Rivals).

He received his first Power 5 offer three years ago from Kentucky and they have been rolling in ever since - Marsh holds 34 in all. He committed to Michigan State last July but committed this past March. Ever since, he's taken visits to Aubrun, Tennessee, Penn State, Kansas and Michigan State.
