Purdue Baseball to Play Northwestern at Wrigley Field

The Purdue baseball team will get the opportunity to play in one of the most historic venues in sports later this month. When the Boilermakers travel to Chicago to play Northwestern, they'll be playing at Wrigley Field, home of the MLB's Chicago Cubs.

Purdue's social media team made the announcement on Tuesday. The Boilermakers are scheduled to play the Wildcats at Wrigley on Friday, April 26 at 8 p.m. ET. The game airs on Big Ten Network.

The trip to Wrigley Field will be the first of a three-game series between Purdue and Northwestern. The other two games — played on Saturday and Sunday — will be played in Evanston at Rocky and Berenice Miller Park.

Here's the complete schedule for the weekend series between Purdue and Northwestern:

  • Friday, April 26: Wrigley Field in Chicago, Ill. at 8 p.m. ET (TV: BIg Ten Network)
  • Saturday, April 27: Miller Park in Evanston, Ill., at 2 p.m. ET (TV: Big Ten Network-plus)
  • Sunday, April 28: Miller Park in Evanston, Ill., at 2 p.m. ET (TV: Big Ten Network-plus)

Per Purdue's post on social media, this will be the first time the Boilermakers baseball team has played at Wrigley Field. The football team played Northwestern in the historic venue in 2021.
