South Carolinas baseball program heads to Oxford Mississippi to open up SEC play on the road looking for first SEC series win.
South Carolina and Head Coach Mark Kingston are heading into conference play with an overall record of 14-3 and are set to face 13-5 Ole Miss. The Rebels went through a rough four-game stretch, losing back-to-back games to Hawaii before losing to Arkansas State and High Point, who they'd eventually win the series against. Since that loss to High Point, Ole Miss is 11-1.
South Carolina is coming into this game as slighlty the better team on paper, but Coach Kingston and company know there is still some work to be done. This can be a hazardous offensive team once they get more consistent with their situational hitting and have better at-bats with runners in scoring positions.
