South Carolina is heading into another weekend series, this time hosting Longwood, which enters the weekend with a 7-5 overall record. The Gamecocks pitching staff will need to keep a couple of players locked down: Noah Campanelli, who leads the Lancers with a .429 batting average, and Willie Ravens, who has a team-best 17 RBI.

On the offensive side, Carolina looks to keep Talmadge LeCroy on his blazing hot start of the season, hitting .357 with a .571 on-base percentage and is tied for second in the SEC with 21 runs scored. Continuing to improve when South Carolina has runners in scoring possession will surely be a point of emphasis this weekend as well.
