B.J. Mack Cuts Transfer List Down to 10 Schools

Former Wofford Forward BJ Mack has been in constant discussion for many teams since the off-season started, as he is one of the top players to hit the transfer portal so far. The four-year college veteran, who entered the transfer portal on March 6th, has received plenty of attention from coaches nationwide, including Lamont Paris, who recently took an in-home visit with Mack. This visit, plus the other conversations we can presume has taken place, helped the Gamecocks find a spot in Mack's top 10 list, which he posted to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.

Over his four-year career, Mack has developed into a reliable scoring option, averaging 16.6 points a game over his past two seasons. Mack also offers consistent rebounding thanks to his 6'8 frame, something the Gamecocks need to add to their roster to lighten the load for Josh Gray. The former Terrier averaged 6.2 rebounds a game as a junior and 5.6 rebounds a game this past season.
Despite the proximity between the Gamecocks' campus and Mack's hometown of Charlotte, NC, South Carolina is still competing with fellow SEC schools like LSU, Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt, all of which made Mack's recent cut.
Iowa, Xavier, Butler, and Michigan round out the other four schools on the list. Landing Mack would be huge for the Gamecocks, who desperately need to add some pieces to offset both their confirmed and potential losses in the front-court this off-season, with the possible loss of GG Jackson specifically looming large over the program.
