How To Watch: South Carolina vs. VMI

South Carolina's men's basketball team is set to play it's second home game of the season against Virginia Military Institute. What do you need to know?

Lamont Paris and the South Carolina Gamecocks secured an impressive win against the Virginia Tech Hokies this past Friday in Charlotte. Tonight, they'll look to avoid falling prey to a bit of an early season trap game when they take on Virginia Military Institute (VMI).

VMI is currently 1-1 this season, having lost to Richmond in his season opener and defeated Christendom this past Thursday. The Keydets are led by two guards in Brennan Watkins and Koree Cotton, with the two players combining for an average of 27.5 points per game so far this Fall. The Gamecocks did struggle against the Hokies at containing dribble penetration from their guards at the top of the key and the wings, so this could provide a stiffer challenge than one might suspect.
