South Carolina's season opener came down to wire, but ultimately a miscue on special teams killed the Gamecocks' comeback and they fell to Tennessee 31-27. 

The Volunteers punted the ball away with about 90 seconds left in the game and the ball hit Cam Smith in the leg and Tennessee was able to recover.
