LaNorris Sellers, a South Carolina native, put everyone on notice in the Garnet and Black Spring game this past April. Everyone in Gamecock County will be sitting on the edge of their seats this coming spring to see if Sellers is able to secure the starting quarterback job.

With LaNorris being a true dual-threat quarterback, it will be interesting to see how offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains crafts an offense around the redshirt freshman, being that he built the offensive scheme around Spencer Rattler this past season. Sellers joined 107.5 The Game this past Tuesday and discussed his thoughts on his fit in Loggains' offensive scheme.

"His offense is based on the quarterback's skill set completely," Sellers said of the Loggains offense. "It ultimately just depends on the situation, you have end of game situations like going through halftime and going in for the end of the game," Sellers said. "Then there are plays playing above the X's and O's. [That's] what we talk about in the QB room."

Sellers didn't see the field much this season, but when he did against Vanderbilt, his performance was like listening to classical music, completing all four of his passes for two touchdowns while scampering for a 36-yard touchdown run.

"I think it's just another thing that can worry the defense," LaNorris said referring to his scrambling ability. "So they're not completely focused on the pass or the run. It gives you another option for the quarterback to be a threat with his arms and legs."
