Gamecock fans, it's here. One of the best weeks in the entire calendar year is here. Not only are you going to get to indulge in rich, savory, and sweet foods with those you cherish, but there's also plenty of sports to ingest as well, from the NFL's Thanksgiving game involving the Detroit Lions, to all of the biggest rivalries in college football taking place.

For Shane Beamer and the South Carolina Gamecocks, this year's Palmetto Bowl has some extra meaning to it. For one, the program has an opportunity to win back-to-back games against their in-state rivals for the first time since the 2012 and 2013 seasons. Secondly, should they win on Saturday night, Carolina will officially qualify for a bowl game, something that seemed like it was almost just a dream three weeks ago.

What do the oddsmakers think about the Gamecocks chances in this matchup? Well, after listing Beamer's squad as the favorites coming into each of their last three matchups, they've changed their tune heading into week thirteen, as multiple sportsbooks have Carolina as the underdog in this year's Palmetto Bowl.
