Class of 2025's No. 2 Prospect Set for Official Visit to South Carolina

South Carolinas football program received huge news as David Sanders Jr. announced Carolina will get one of his six official visits.
Just two weeks after unveiling his top six choices of South Carolina, Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia, and Tennessee, David Sanders has now solidified his official visit plans for the upcoming recruiting season. The highly sought-after No. 2 player in the class of 2025 and top offensive tackle from Charlotte, NC, has strategically scheduled visits as follows:
- South Carolina: April 19th
- Clemson: May 31st
- Georgia: June 7th
- Tennessee: June 14th
- Alabama: June 18th
- Ohio State: June 21st

With the Gamecocks securing his first official visit slot, they hold the crucial opportunity to set the tone for the remaining months of his recruitment. While South Carolina may have emerged as a dark horse contender for David's commitment over the past year or two, the proximity of Columbia, just two hours away from his hometown, offers a distinct advantage. As the recruiting season unfolds, all eyes will be on how each program impresses David during his visits, with South Carolina aiming to capitalize on their advantageous position and make a compelling case for his future.
A storyline that may peak Gamecock fans interest is the potential addition of Sanders, a five-star prospect and the No. 1 offensive tackle in his class. Alongside him, ON3 Sports' five-star and No. 1 offensive tackle in the class of 2024, Josiah Thompson from Dillon, SC, is gearing up to begin his freshman year as a Gamecock. Additionally, highly recruited offensive lineman Kam Pringle, ranked as high as No. 3 in his position by several recruiting websites, adds depth to the roster.
With promising young talent like Markee Anderson, Tree Babalade, and Trovon Baugh, the Gamecocks could finally address the longstanding issue on the offensive line that has persisted since the beginning of the Beamer era. While improvements have been gradual over the years, Shane Beamer's tenure as head coach could mark a turning point in resolving this problem for years to come.
