Dylan Stewart Sets Official Visit To South Carolina

Per On3's Chad Simmons, South Carolina Football target, Dylan Stewart, has scheduled three of his five official visits, including one to Columbia.

Washington, D.C. native Dylan Stewart is one of the most coveted high school football players in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Not only does Stewart play a preeminent position being an edge rusher, but he's also showcased levels of athleticism rarely seen at his position.

This has led to Dylan garnering several prominent offers from schools like Alabama, Michigan, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Clemson, along with a plethora of others. The Gamecocks, however, have been a school that's developed a long-standing relationship with the product out of Friendship Collegiate Academy, as Dylan has visited Columbia five times, with a sixth unofficial visit coming up on April 14th.

The aforementioned visit is part of what's essentially become a Spring tour of sorts for Stewart, who's visited other programs like Michigan, Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State over the past month. The last two schools in particular, Georgia and Ohio State, left quite the impression on the rising senior, which led to Dylan taking the next step in his recruitment.

On Tuesday evening, On3's Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons reported that per Dylan Stewart himself, three official visits have been scheduled for later this Summer, including one to South Carolina on June 23rd.

These official visits essentially are signaling which schools are standing out the most for Stewart at this time, and it's quite clear that some of the most prestigious programs in the sport are unsurprisingly putting up a strong fight with Shane Beamer and South Carolina's Football recruiting department. His visit to South Carolina on June 23rd will be the Gamecocks chance to roll out the red carpet for Stewart and his family, and could go a long ways towards deciding how this recruitment ends down the road.
