BREAKING: 2024 5-star EDGE Dylan Stewart Commits To South Carolina!

In shockingly quick turnaround, South Carolina's Football program landed 5-star edge rusher Dylan Stewart off the heels of a visit this past weekend.

Shane Beamer, Sterling Lucas, and South Carolina's Football program have once again sent shockwaves throughout the DMV region and recruiting landscape. On Tuesday morning, after having just spent some time down in Columbia late last week for the Gamecocks' annual Summer cookout event, five-star edge rusher Dylan Stewart announced his commitment to South Carolina.

Anyone who followed this recruitment closely over the past 9 to 10 months knew that South Carolina was a real player here. The Gamecocks hosted Stewart on eight separate visits between March of last year and this Summer. The Ohio State Buckeyes were a team that seemed to make a big push this Summer, due to their success in other high profile recruitments, but Beamer & the Gamecocks once again up-ended conventional wisdom.

Stewart becomes the fifteenth commit in South Carolina's recruiting class and gives the Gamecocks nine blue-chip commitments overall. South Carolina now turns their sights on Jonathan Paylor and Jalewis Solomon, who'll be announcing later this week.
