Jshawn Fruasto-Ramos tabbed Stanford's most impactful recruit of the 2023 class

In this story:
Stanford's 2023 recruiting class is one that is a bridge between former head coach David Shaw and new head coach Troy Taylor.
The commits that stayed in the class will technically be the first and last for both of the coaches in a way, but regardless of who committed to who, Stanford needs some instant production. The Cardinal were absolutely decimated by the transfer portal and players leaving for the NFL Draft.
Now granted a lot of those players would have been grad students, it still would have been a whole lot easier for Taylor and company to inherit a roster with more experience. That was not the hand the Cardinal have been dealt, which means spring and fall camp will be huge for players looking to carve out a role for themselves.
One of those players that might find himself thrust into a major role right away, is four-star defensive back Jshawn Frausto-Ramos. The St. John Bosco product is Stanford's highest rated commit, and will have a chance to start right away being that Stanford essentially lost their entire starting secondary.
Frausto-Ramos was also named Stanford's most impactful recruit by 247Sports who said:
The highest-rated newcomer for the Stanford Cardinal is Jshawn Frausto-Ramos. Stanford had a number of defensive struggles but gave up the least amount of passing yards per game. Where the Cardinal struggled was stopping the run, giving up 224.4 yards per outing. We dubbed Frausto-Ramos as the most impactful signee because although he won't impact the running game much, he could fill a hole in a secondary caused by Kyu Blu Kelly's departure for the NFL Draft. With the transfer portal not much of a factor in Palo Alto, high school recruiting is vital and the Cardinal struck gold with Frausto-Ramos.
Stanford's defense ranked No. 114 in total defense this past season, and with all of the quarterback talent returning in the Pac-12, it will not be easy for this inexperienced defense. Players like Frausto-Ramos will need to mature quickly in order for Stanford to have any chance.
