While we are still 120 days until Stanford's first game, there are never not things happening pertaining to one of the most interesting programs in the country.

After a decade of success under David Shaw, the program hit a wall and has since transformed into a shell of its former self. Former Sacramento State head coach Troy Taylor is now tasked with reviving the one-time giant of college football, and while it won't be the easiest of rebuilds, those around the program are confident he will get it done.

The offensive guru put Sacramento State's program on the map, and now he will face his tallest task yet. With all of the major concerns about the roster, NIL, and the transfer portal Taylor was able to escape and have some fun recently.

On Thursday he was photographed with Stanford legend, running back and current San Francisco 49er, Christian McCaffrey. The two were at the Golden State Warriors game two win against the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the NBA Playoffs.

Taylor would undoubtedly love for McCaffrey to suit up in the Cardinal and white one more time, but unfortunately for him McCaffrey and the 49ers are a few months away from beginning the quest for revenge. San Francisco was a healthy quarterback away from making it to the Super Bowl, but ultimately had to rely on an injured and unable to throw Brock Purdy in their NFC Championship loss against the Eagles.
