Myles Jackson tabbed as the Pac-12's most intriguing recruit

Stanford's young gunslinger is already making a name for himself without even playing a snap

Stanford's offseason has flown under the radar for most people nationally due to the fact that Deion Sanders has taken all the hype, and the team itself is the least experienced in the Power 5 coming off a horrendous season.

Troy Taylor, who I spoke with on Wednesday has very high hopes and big plans for the program despite the consensus that it will take years for Stanford to be back to what they once were. One player that will help Taylor and Stanford return to that former glory, is four-star quarterback Myles Jackson.

The Long Beach native has a cannon of an arm, great pocket awareness, and was also tabbed by The Athletic's  Antonio Morales, as the most intriguing non-blue-chip recruit in the Pac-12. Morales spoke highly of Jackson saying:

Stanford quarterback signee Myles Jackson was a four-star prospect as recently as November — in the 2024 recruiting cycle. He reclassified in December, which is one thing. Then he committed to Stanford when it didn’t have a coach, which was surprising as well. It’s a year earlier than expected, but this is a good get for first-year Cardinal coach Troy Taylor. If Jackson develops early, that’s an added boost for a Stanford program in desperate need of one.

Jackson and Stanford have everything to gain by Jackson being on campus early, as he has a chance to be in Taylor's system and learn. He also has a legitimate chance at being a college starter and getting college reps when he should be completing his senior year of high school.

In his final year at Millikan High School, Jackson threw for 3,620 yards and 47 touchdowns with just seven interceptions. In an offense that sprays the ball all over the field like Taylor's does, Jackson's arm talent will give him all of the opportunity in the world to win the starting job
