WATCH: Christian McCaffrey did not hold back when talking about the two Super Bowl teams

In this story:
If you are an NFL player whose team did not make the Super Bowl, there are surely some mixed emotions about doing a press tour.
Former Stanford running back and current San Francisco 49er, Christian McCaffrey, was the latest player to come off as a tad salty in regards to the Super Bowl. A feeling that he and the entire 49er team and fan base likely all feel, due to their devastating loss to the Philadelphia Eagles that had them down to their fourth string quarterback.
When asked about the upcoming Super Bowl matchup for some analysis on something his teammate Brandon Aiyuk said, McCaffrey didn't have much to offer but the statement "I hope both teams lose."

He later goes on to discuss how much the loss in the NFC Championship hurt, even going as far to say that it's a possibility he will not watch the game. Due to the injuries to both quarterbacks against the Eagles, there was almost a world where McCaffrey came in at quarterback but the team opted to put Brock Purdy back in despite not being able to throw.
While most fans assume that players around the league like to watch the Super Bowl, it is safe to say that phenomenon is not as widespread as we initially thought.
