The Stanford Cardinal has become one of the most aggressive recruiting programs in the country, and it is clearly paying dividends.

After concerns over whether or not Troy Taylor would be able to recruit at the Power 5 level in a manner that would have Stanford competing with national powers, the new head coach and his staff rattled off one of the craziest recruiting stretches in program history. They landed over 20 commitments in the month of June, and saw their 2024 recruiting class ascend to as high as No. 9 in the country.

Along with landing four-star quarterback Elijah Brown, they also landed one of the top pass catchers in the state of California in Emmett Mosley. In landing Mosley they have also helped their case for his younger brother, 2026 receiver Trent Mosley. During his freshman season, Mosley grabbed 28 catches for over 400 yards while also scoring three touchdowns.

Despite already holding offers from Texas A&M, Oregon, USC, Washington, and Notre Dame where their dad played football and mom played soccer, the Cardinal have already been able to make an impression on Trent. As revealed in an interview with 247Sports, he was able to tag along when his brother took trips to UCLA and Stanford. An experience that when he was in Palo Alto allowed him to connect with receivers coach Tyler Osborne.

“I love their WR coach, coach (Tyler) Osborne too,” Mosley said. “I like coach Taylor and the new direction the program is going offensively. I was able to sit in on some meetings and I like their route concepts and how they want to throw the ball."

While his older brother had no issues going to the rival of his parents' alma mater, it appears that Notre Dame could be the team to beat.

“Notre Dame was my dream school growing up,” Mosley said. “I’ve been there a few times but it has been awhile so I want to take another visit and connect with the new coaching staff."

The staff will have a lot of competition for the rising receiver, but they do have the advantage of having Emmett likely helping in their recruiting efforts.
