The Stanford basketball roster will look extremely different for the 2024-25 season, as the Cardinal are expected to lose a majority of their roster to the portal or graduation.

New head coach Kyle Smith inherited a roster whose most experienced returning player is a former walk-on in Benny Gealer. Smith does have a chance to convince players in the portal to come back, but he still has a major roster overhaul in front of him.

He was officially able to land his first commitment as the head coach on Saturday, as he flipped Washington State commit Evan Stinson.

Stinson stands in at 6-foot-7 and ranks as the No. 2 player in the state of Washington. He chose Stanford over programs like Washington State, Utah State, UC Santa Barbara, and Montana. He joins Elijah Crawford as the two recruits (so far) that will be joining the fold next season.
