Elite 2029 Florida ATH reacts to ‘eye-opening’ Syracuse visit

In this story:
One of the elite 2029 prospects is Melbourne (FL) Eau Gallie High two-way star Captain Rolle.
Just a freshman, Rolle’s offer sheet is already a who’s-who of college athletics. More than 30 schools have extended offers to Rolle, including Auburn, Baylor, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon and Tennessee, among many, many others.
Syracuse is another school heavily involved in his recruitment, and the Orange was able to get him to Central New York over the weekend for an ‘eye-opening’ experience at spring practice.
"The trip was amazing,” Rolle said to The Juice Online. “I love the relationships I built while I was there.”
Brown pitches his vision to Rolle
Rolle spent the most time with head coach Fran Brown, and came away impressed with Brown on many levels.
“Just being around coach Fran was amazing,” Rolle said. “Watching how he coach and how he works with his team to get better each and every day. A great time was had. I cant wait to get back up there.”
Among the topics they discussed was Brown’s vision for the future. Brown made it known that he wants Syracuse to compete for ACC and National Championships in the near future.
Rolle appreciates the D.A.R.T. culture
He plans on getting Syracuse there with his philosophy of D.A.R.T. (detailed, accountable, relentless, tough).
"I think the culture DART is a mindset of discipline and is to help the players grow,” Rolle said. "Me and coach Fran just talked about what I liked about Syracuse and what did I like about the practices and meetings.”
That all led to a positive impression for a prospect who will be in consideration for five-star status.
"The program is great,” Rolle said. “I can see that Syracuse is trying to build something and is putting major effort to make that happen."
Syracuse has spent plenty of time recruiting in the Sunshine State, spearheaded by General Manager Tommy Caporale. In the 2026 cycle, the Orange had the most players hail from Florida, including five-star wide receiver Calvin Russell.
"I think Syracuse trust that Florida has a lot of talent,” Rolle said. “That's why they recruit us Florida prospects heavy.”
Rolle impressed as a freshman with his two-way play
His Commodores team is coming off a 9-4 season, and Rolle opened eyes with plays at wide receiver and defensive back.
“My 2025 season was great,” Rolle said. “I still have a lot of working to do because nobody is perfect. But best believe I’m going get to my max potential.”
His max potential can come from both sides of the field.
"I’m the type of DB that loves man and pressing at the line, and I can play zone,” Rolle said. "I’m the type of WR that will go make a play on the football when its in the air."
