Aggies Projected Regional Hosts in D1Baseball's Preseason Field of 64

As the Aggies look to return to Omaha, they return plenty of talent from last season's College World Series team.

We are three days away from the start of the college baseball season and the Texas A&M Aggies are hoping to build on their success from last season, which saw them head to Omaha for the first time since 2017.

If the Aggies manage to get to the College World Series once again it will be their first back-to-back appearances in program history. Of course, that is easier said than done in the always loaded SEC.

However, the Aggies return a good amount of talent, including Austin Bost and Jack Moss, from last season that will help carry the load.

They enter the season as the No. 5 team in the country, and D1Baseball predicts that they will once again host a regional in College Station per their preseason Field of 64 predictions.

The Aggies are the No. 6 national seed in this projection, and joining them in College Station would be the No. 2 Oregon State Beavers, No. 3 Texas State Bobcats and No. 4 Central Connecticut Blue Devils.

Paired up with the College Station Regional is the winner of the Nashville Regional, hosted by the No. 11 national seed Vanderbilt Commodores.

The other three teams in Nashville are the No. 2 Southern Miss Golden Eagles, No. 3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish and No. 4 Southern Illinois Salukis.

Getting back to Omaha won't be easy, especially if the Aggiest host a regional as loaded as the one D1Baseball projects them to. However, the talent is there for the Aggies, so come June don't be surprised if they make it to Omaha again.
