The weekend series between the No. 20 Texas A&M Aggies and Vanderbilt Commodores will now be wrapping up before the weekend can officially arrive.

Shortly after the conclusion of the series opener between the two SEC teams Thursday night, it was announced that there would be a changing of the schedule due to inclement weather anticipated for Saturday in the Bryan-College Station area.

With the iffy weather set to move in, the two teams will now close out their series on Friday with a doubleheader starting at 2:00 PM, with the second game set to follow at 6:00 PM or 45 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

With the change in date and time, here is how the remaining schedule looks for the two games left between the two SEC clubs:

Game 2: Friday, April 3 at 2:00 PM on SEC Network
Game 3: Friday, April 3 at 6:00 PM (or 45 minutes after Game 2 ends) on SEC Network

Both games will still take place at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park in College Station, Texas.

Game 1 saw the Commodores get the best of the Aggies and put an end to their six-game winning streak in an offense-filled contest with a 14-8 win, powered by three home runs by designated hitter Colin Barczi.

Texas A&M had plenty of firepower with their bats, as center fielder Caden Sorrell and catcher Bear Harrison both recorded multi-home run games, but their production simply wasn't plentiful enough to match that of their opponents.

The game also saw an end to an impressive streak, as A&M's freshman shortstop Boston Kellner failed to reach base for the first time in the 2026 season.

In the end, the Commodores recorded 14 runs on 18 hits, while the Aggies' eight runs came on just as many hits.

With the loss Thursday night, the Aggies dropped to an even .500 in conference play for the 2026 season, with now five wins and five losses apiece.

Overall, in the season, Texas A&M now sits at 23-6, while the win for Vanderbilt brings them to 19-12, and gives them their own winning stretch of six games.

With Weston Moss and Aiden Sims expected to take the mound for the two remaining games, the Ags will look for a quick turnaround from their bullpen and a quicker start from their starting nine.
