Texas A&M Aggies Earn Commitment From Ex-Old Dominion Receiver Transfer Javon Harvey
The Texas A&M Aggies have been suffering major losses to the NCAA Transfer Portal so far this month.
But on Monday, they got one back, earning a commitment from former Old Dominion wide receiver, Javon Harvey.
Harvey announced his commitment via his personal Instagram account.
The 6-foot, 178-pound Harvey spent three years with the Monarchs, catching 70 passes for 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 15.2 yards per catch, with a long of 68 yards.
Harvey's best season with the Monarchs came in 2022, when he hauled in 30 passes for 558 yards and four touchdowns, averaging over 18 yards per catch.
In 2023, Harvey's numbers were down a bit, but he was still a key part of the offense, catching 29 passes for 391 yards and four touchdowns.
Harvey had a monster game earlier this season against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in September, catching three passes for 166 yards and a touchdown - including catches of 68, 41, and 57 yards.
The second commitment of the transfer window for the Aggies, Harvey's commitment comes at an opportune time, with long-time Texas A&M star Ainias Smith electing to enter the NFL Draft, and Raymond Cottrell leaving for Kentucky.
The Aggies will hope to bring in a handful of transfers to replace their losses on both sides of the ball as the portal window continues into early signing day on December 20.
