Not much changed at the top of the college baseball poll after Week Six. Heading into the seventh week of the season, most of the dominance continues to be in the east. The top four remain the same with LSU, Wake Forest, Florida, and Vanderbilt after they all went a combined 14-1 over the past week.

The biggest news came from Louisville dropping two of three to Notre Dame, and UCLA lost two of three to Washington. The Bruins did not help their case by falling to Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday. The losses dropped both teams out of the top ten.

With Louisville and UCLA dropping, East Carolina now stands at eighth in the poll after quietly climbing up over the past few weeks. The Pirates are currently the only team in the American Athletic Conference that is ranked. They will begin conference play with a series against Houston.

Two other teams that have flown under the radar are Campbell and Florida Gulf Coast, who are 15th and 16th, respectively. The Camels are coming off of a 3-2 loss to William & Mary on Tuesday but have swept back-to-back Big South Conference series. The Camels' biggest wins, though, came against East Carolina 6-5 and 2-1.

Florida Gulf Coast has had equal success in the ASUN Conference, winning both series they have played, however, they did drop one game to Liberty to open conference play. Both the Eagles and the Camels are in excellent shape for the rest of the season and should be clear favorites to win their respective conference.

Elsewhere, Iowa cracked the Top 25 to make the Hawkeyes the only ranked Big Ten team. They begin conference play this weekend against Maryland. Despite falling to Illinois State, Iowa swept Western Michigan last weekend to boost its resume and break into the rankings.

Coastal Carolina and UConn both broke into the rankings as well. The Chanticleers are fresh off of a win over North Carolina on Tuesday and taking two of three against Texas State last weekend. They travel to Atlanta this week to play a three game conference set with Georgia State.

The Huskies played back-to-back games on Tuesday and Wednesday. First, they fell to Boston College before bouncing back against the University of Hartford. Prior to that, they played a weekend series with Rutgers in which they swept the Scarlet Knights.

It should be a pretty eventful weekend, and one series to watch will be in South Bend, Indiana, where Notre Dame will take on North Carolina after taking two of three against Louisville. If the Irish take the series against the Tar Heels, it could send massive ripples throughout college baseball from top to bottom.
