Super Tuesday's National Games to Watch

#10 Marquette @ #21 UConn
Shaka Smart and the Golden Eagles are rolling right now. Marquette is enjoying a five-game win streak and has won 16 of its last 19 games, including a six-point win at home over Connecticut. Sophomore guard Kam Jones is the Golden Eagles’ leading scorer, scoring 15.7 points per game on 48.6% shooting. In Marquette’s previous meeting with the Huskies, it was sophomore forward Osa Ighodaro who led in scoring with 19.
UConn is a bit of a different story. After winning their first 14 games, the Huskies have gone 4-6. Junior forward Adama Sanogo is UConn’s best scorer, averaging an impressive 17.2 points per game. He only scored 10 points in his team’s loss to Marquette in January, but he enters Tuesday’s matchup scorching hot after scoring 25 and 15 in his previous two games against DePaul and Georgetown respectively, both of which they won. If the Huskies want to make the most of their rematch against the Golden Eagles, Sanogo will need to be on.
You can watch this game on Fox Sports at 5:30 p.m.
#24 Rutgers @ #18 Indiana
The Scarlet Knights come into this game on a two-game win streak, beating both Minnesota and Michigan State in the last week. Junior center Clifford Omoruyi has been a true force, averaging 13.4 points per game and 10 rebounds per game. Playing in Bloomington at Assembly Hall is always tough, but the Scarlet Knights are playing well and will have an opportunity to widen their second place lead over the third place Hoosiers in the Big 10 standings.
Indiana is coming off of a monster win over No. 1 Purdue at home. Trayce Jackson-Davis is absolutely the player to watch in this game. He scored 25 points in the statement win over the Boilermakers and is averaging 19.8 points per game and 11 rebounds per game. He is one of the country's best players and will no doubt be the guy to watch on Tuesday.
You can watch the game on Big 10 Network at 5:30 p.m.
#22 North Carolina State @ #8 Virginia
The Wolfpack has won four games in a row, in large part thanks to Terquavion Smith. The sophomore guard scored just 5 points in NC State’s last outing against Georgia Tech, but he still contributed 10 assists. Prior to that game, he scored 32 points against Florida State. He averages 18.5 points per game and 4.6 assists per game.
Prior to Saturday’s loss to Virginia Tech, the Cavaliers had won seven in a row. Tony Bennett’s squad features an even scoring attack as he has four players averaging double digits and this balanced offense seems to be working. Virginia is 9-3 in conference play and currently sits in second place in the ACC behind Clemson. Jayden Gardner had 20 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to the Hokies. He is averaging 18.3 points per game in his last three games and is certainly a player to keep an eye on.
You can watch the game on ACC Network at 8 p.m.
