In Week 9, Oklahoma could not muster the late-game comeback like they did earlier in the month against Texas. Kansas came away with the upset. As a result, the Sooners dropped in this week's polls to No. 10/11, and Kansas once again makes an appearance in both polls at No. 22/23.

Nationally, the top five remain unscathed. In the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll for Week 10, the top five are Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State, and Washington.

In addition to the Sooners' drop, Oregon State and Utah both dropped five to seven spots in both polls.

Kansas and Kansas State are both back in the polls this week. Kansas has been in and out for several weeks. Kansas State is back in the AP Top 25 for the first time since Week 3 this season.

The Big 12 now has five teams either ranked or receiving votes - Texas (No. 7/6), Oklahoma (No. 10/11), Kansas (No. 22/23), Kansas State (No. 25/RV), and Oklahoma State (RV/RV).

This week, Texas hosts Kansas State, and Oklahoma State hosts the last in the Bedlam series with Oklahoma. Also this week, Kansas travels to Iowa State. The Cyclones, though not ranked, are tied with Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas at the top of the Big 12 standings, all at 4-1.
