TCU's Equestrian team continues to dominate, with a 15-4 victory over No. 3 Texas A&M

TCU's Equestrian team rode to victory once more at Bear Creek Farms over No. 3 Texas A&M, 15-4, signifying their tenth win of the season and sixth win over NCEA top-10 opponents.

The meet started in the Jumping Seat arena with Fences, where the Horned Frogs swept the Aggies, 5-0.  Riding Callisto, Ashleigh Scully led the charge, edging our her opponent 85-84.  Isabella Baxter also conquered, earning an 86 on Fats to put the second point of the day on the board for the Horned Frogs. Freshman Jordyn Scelsa earned another win on the season with an 83-77 victory on Van.  Sydney Berube dominated the event with an 87, taking home an MOP.  Ella Bostwick completed the sweep with a 10-point victory over her opponent, 84-74, while riding Java.

The meet moved into the Western arena for a back-and-forth Reining competition. Giorgia Medows narrowly outdid Texas A&M's Lisa Bricker with a 71.5 against the latter's solid 71. Texas A&M would put their first point of the day on the board, outscoring Shea Graham 69.5-67 and earning the MOP for Reining.  Riding Alfie, Mattie Dukes trotted her way to a 69-66.5 victory.  Jessica McAllister consolidated TCU's 3-2 Reining victory with a 68 on Bob, giving the Frogs an 8-2 lead at midpoint.

In the Jumping Arena, TCU took the victory 3-2 in Flat.  Scully went 2-0 on the day with an 88-87 win on Mac.  On Gipsy Wynne Weatherly rode her way to a career high 93, securing the MOP for the event with elan.  Laurel Smith secured the win, tying her career high with a 91-82 victory on Lina.

Finally there was Horsemanship, and our ladies secured their second sweep of the day with a 4-0 victory.  McAllister rode her way to tie the event high score of a 76.5 and earning the MOP from the jump.  Graham, Dukes, and Payton Boutelle followed suit, earning a 71, 76.5, and 76, respectively, on the day.

The Frogs ended the meet with victories in all four events, a considerable achievement.

Next up: The Horned Frogs will return to action Feb. 25 when they travel north to Stillwater, Okla. to take on No. 7 Oklahoma State.
