TCU Soccer: Gracie Brian Signs with NIL Village

The TCU soccer player signed a merchandise and funding deal with NIL Village, a collective assisting student-athletes.

With Name/Image/Likeness (NIL) deals being a huge topic of discussion in sports like football and basketball, it's no wonder that these deals would affect other sports as well. Love it or hate it, NIL deals benefit the college athletes we love and support, and NIL isn't going away anytime soon.

TCU soccer player Gracie Brian has signed a new Name/Image/Likeness deal with NIL Village.

TCU soccer player Gracie Brian has signed a new Name/Image/Likeness deal with NIL Village.

The most recent TCU addition to the NIL Village family is Gracie Brian, the 5th-year senior who returned for one last year on the TCU women's soccer team. Gracie is an attacking midfielder from Frisco, Texas, studying entrepreneurship and innovation at TCU outside of being a large part of TCU women's soccer and their success.

In July 2021, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) changed its policy to allow student-athletes to monetize their name, image, and likeness (NIL) through partnerships with local and national businesses. Through these brand partnerships, athletes can turn their successes in their sports into providing supplemental financial resources to assist with the cost of attending college.

NIL Village is a collective whose mission is to build a community of support around college athletes. Many TCU student-athletes have already signed NIL deals with NIL Village.

In Gracie's five years with the Horned Frogs, she has played in 99 games, accumulating 33 goals and 26 assists. TCU Women's soccer is back in action next Monday as the Horned Frogs travel to Austin to face the Longhorns in their final regular season game of the season.

Regarding the terms of Gracie's NIL deal, she gets 90% of all NIL money that gets contributed through NIL Village, a standard option available on NIL Village. She and NIL Village have also created specialized merchandise, and she receives 50% of all the profits from the purchases.
