On Friday, the Tennessee Volunteers released their full 2024 schedule for the upcoming baseball season. Here is a quick look at it.

On Friday, Tennessee released its full 2024 schedule for the upcoming baseball season. The reveal shows plenty of intriguing matchups to look at that go beyond the SEC schedule that was released a few weeks back. The Vols will kick off the season on February 16th in Dallas in Globe Life Park. They will play three games during the Shriner's Children College Showdown against Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Baylor.

The Vols then have some series with plenty of mid-major schools to follow, including UNC Asheville, East Tennessee State, Albany, and High Point. Then, to begin March, they play Bowling Green, followed by Kansas State, Southern Indiana, Illinois, and Eastern Kentucky. Some games are mixed in with the SEC schedule on weekdays. This includes Xavier, Tennessee Tech, Alabama A&M, Bellarmine, Western Carolina, Lipscomb, Queens College, and Belmont matchups.

The Vols' first SEC series begins March 15th with games against the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa. They go back to the state of Alabama again in April to play at Auburn. They will also play in Nashville's classic in-state rivalry game against the Vanderbilt Commodores. That series begins May 10th. Tennessee will also host some great matchups at home in Knoxville as well in SEC play. Some stand-out series include the defending national champion LSU Tigers that come to town for a series from April 12th-14th.

Another matchup to watch out for will be when the South Carolina Gamecocks come to Knoxville to end the regular season. That series will be from May 16th to the 18th. Tennessee is coming off of a season that saw them make it to the college world series in Omaha for the 6th time in program history. Their record in 2023 was 44-22 overall and 18-16 in SEC play.
