Byron Young Impressing NFL Teams As Draft Nears

In this story:
The other day, we wrote a piece on possible suitors for former Tennessee edge rusher Byron Young. Young's suitors may come earlier than we expected. The VFL has been impressing teams in interviews and meetings, according to multiple reports.

Although Young is not projected to be a day-one draft pick, his name has started to grow more and more buzz, similar to Hendon Hooker, who has climbed solely through interviews, unable to perform physically. Young was able to be evaluated physically, coming out with a 9.22 Relative Athletic Score (RAS) at the Combine.
With a 4.43 40-yard dash and an elite 11' broad jump, Young most definitely has the physical tools, but for one reason or another, many insiders see him as a day-two pick. However, when talking to NFL scouts, Jim Nagy stated that Young's name had frequently been brought up as a prospect with a lot of intrigue. If Young somehow did sneak into the latter part of round one, it could make for a very Orange-filled night on April 27 in Kansas City. Former teammates Jalin Hyatt, Hendon Hooker, and Darnell Wright are all likely to be picked in the first, and if Young joins them, it will make for four Tennessee first-rounders.
