The 2026 NFL Draft is quickly approaching, and it is sure to be an exciting one. Multiple Vols are expected to hear their name called throughout the event.

Josh Edwards from CBS Sports was able to complete a full seven-round mock draft, which had multiple Tennessee players selected. Here is where he has the Vols going.

Jermod McCoy - Pick 5 (New York Giants)

Jermod McCoy was able to push his draft stock up after the pro day performance he had, which leaves him as the No. 5 pick in the draft. He is the first player in Tennessee orange to hear their name called in this draft.

Here is what Edwards had to say.

"Jermod McCoy is not a prospect I have associated with New York during this process, but every year there are a few picks that make you think, "Why didn't I think of that?" I refer to mock drafts as thought exercises because the goal is to be most accurate with the final version. McCoy has the potential to be in a tier of cornerbacks that includes Derek Stingley Jr. and Patrick Surtain II. Stingley did not play his final season of college football, either. Why not Mansoor Delane? Delane is more of a zone-heavy corner, and the Ravens have played the fifth-lowest rate of zone coverage over the past decade. The other consideration was Ohio State receiver Carnell Tate," Edwards said.

Colton Hood - Pick 29 (Kansas City Chiefs)

Colton Hood is one of the more beloved players leaving the program to be selected in the NFL Draft. He was exceptional in 2025 and will be one of the first players to hear their name called from the Tennessee program.

Here is what Edwards had to say.

"The reason I have shied away from Kansas City being aggressive and trading up for a specific player is because it has so many roles to fill on the roster. If one were to squint at the current state of the cornerback room, one could reasonably convince themselves that group could get them through the season. However, the team has little depth, and members of that unit have already dealt with injuries throughout their careers," Edwards said.
