Tennessee Learns Two Game Times For The Upcoming Season

In this story:
College football is right around the corner. We are entering the summer months when programs host prospect camps and fill out their recruiting boards, which brings enough news already. Pretty soon, we will get to fall camp and the season kickoff, and we learned more about what that will look like for Tennessee on Wednesday.
The Vols released information for their first three games of the season. Their opener against Virginia will kick off at noon Eastern on ABC, and the following week is their home opener at Neyland Stadium. Tennessee will square off against Austin Peay in that one, which will be televised on SEC Network+, though the exact time hasn't been announced. The biggest news came regarding the Florida game. Tennessee knocked off the Gators for the first time since 2016 last season, yet still hasn't won in The Swamp since 2003. The stage is set for them, too, as Florida is projected to have a down season. However, there will be a lot of eyeballs on that one, as it's the night game on ESPN.
- September 2 vs. Virginia: 12:00 EST, ABC
- September 9 vs. Austin Peay: Time TBD, SEC Network+
- September 16 @ Florida: 7:00 EST, ESPN
More game information will come throughout the offseason, but we are starting to get a picture of just how much Tennessee will be in the national spotlight. Two of their first three games are on major networks in primetime slots; that means something in recruiting. Head coach Josh Heupel has done a strong job of getting people invested in Tennesseee's program, and these game details should back that up.
