San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings has officially scored on the biggest stage of the Super Bowl. The former Tennessee wide receiver scored multiple touchdowns during the game, with the second one coming as a touchdown reception. Jennings is an important wide receiver for the 49ers but was just as important in his time for Tennessee. He was the leading target quarterback Josh Dobbs.

Jennings also had a touchdown earlier in the game. He became the first wide receiver since Super Bowl 40 to throw a touchdown pass. The former in-state high school target turned plenty of heads as a pure quarterback and, at one point, was considered a great option as a signal caller before getting to Tennessee and dominating the competition as a versatile and physical wideout. Although the Volunteers used him as a wide receiver, which worked out in the end, they never shied away from using him in wildcat formations. He has shown true physicality throughout his career, as he is one of the toughest guys at the position.

He caught a pass behind the line from Brock Purdy and looked across the field as he hit running back superstar Christian McCaffery, who took the ball in the end zone. Jennings temporarily silenced the Chiefs' fans and sparked a new level of life in the reigning NFC champions with his first touchdown.

He then caught a pass from Purdy and fought his way into the end zone for another 49ers touchdown. For most of the season, Jennings has been the third wide receiver target behind Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. Since joining them as a day three draft pick, he has played a huge role for the 49ers.
