In this story:

Tennessee is bracing for a big defensive line class in 2024. Williams Nwaneri and Kamarion Franklin are the two big priorities for the staff, but Brandon Davis-Swain follows closely behind in the next group.

Davis-Swain is a 6-2.5, 240 lbs. defensive end from West Bloomfield, Michigan. He has logged seven offers in his junior season alone and recently narrowed his recruitment to 11 schools. Tennessee, Purdue, Penn State, Michigan, Auburn, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Colorado, Pittsburgh, Kentucky, and USC will battle for his services moving forward.

Colorado and head coach Deion Sanders hosted him on an unofficial visit on January 28, his lone visit thus far this offseason. He spoke highly of Sanders and the Buffalo after the visit but seems open in his recruitment. However, his father told 247Sports that they have spring trips planned to Auburn, USC, and Michigan, and are in the process of planning others.

He has strong hands at the point of attack and keep his hips low when framing. Davis-Swain still has to get some more reps in pass rush settings before becoming a comfortable three-down linemen in college. Nonetheless, he amassed 31 sacks through three seasons, the tell-tale production that could signify progression moving forward.

Tennessee also made the top nine for an edge rusher in the 2024 class. Booker Picket out of Tampa, Florida, is a top-100 prospect that has elite production the past two seasons in high school.
