Jaylen McClain Narrows Recruitment

In this story:
If you were going to point to one position group where Tennessee could improve, it would be in its defensive backfield. The Volunteers struggled to match opposing wideouts and routinely gave up explosive plays when they entered SEC play.
Therefore, they have hit the recruiting trail and hope to ensure that doesn't happen again. Several top defensive backs are considering Tennessee, and safety Jaylen McClain has recently added his name to that list. McClain visited Knoxville in mid-January, posing for a photo with head coach Josh Heupel. He cut down his list to ten schools on Saturday, and top schools fill the list.
McClain will focus on Tennessee, Notre Dame, USC, Penn State, Oregon, Michigan, Michigan State, Rutgers, Stanford, and Georgia. He stands 6-0 and 185 lbs. and hails from West Orange, New Jersey. He runs track for Seton Hall Prep and logged an 11.06-second 100-yard dash.

He has strong instinctual skills and can shrink ground quickly. His size may benefit him if he switches from safety to corner in college. McClain has strong ball skills and is routinely the most explosive player on the field, though there will be a transition period once he reaches the next level.
