Sammy Brown Currently Touring Tennessee

Five-star linebacker Sammy Brown is touring Knoxville with the Tennessee Volunteers this weekend, and several reports about the visit are beginning to surface.

Tennessee has gone on a recent recruiting run. They added three commits on Friday and Saturday in corner Shamar Arnoux, offensive tackle Jesse Perry, and interior offensive lineman Gage Ginther. However, it doesn't seem like the coaching staff is done making big moves.

Several reports confirmed that five-star linebacker Sammy Brown is currently in Knoxville and getting another look at the Vols. Brown has now toured Tennessee five times, getting an ample look at what the school offers. He plans to get a deep, intimate look at each program before making a decision; the in-state Georgia Bulldogs are a big contender, and he has been to Athens ten times.

Georgia and Clemson are the top two suitors for Brown. The Tigers and head coach Dabo Swinney has done an excellent job pitching the school and defensive style to one of America's best athletes. The Jefferson High School product is also considering Ohio State and recently visited Oklahoma.

Several social media posts confirm that Brown attended Tennessee baseball's series finale against Florida with head coach Josh Heupel and linebackers coach linebacker coach Brian Jean-Mary. Brown has gone on record multiple times to underscore how much culture and environment play into his decision, and he got a closer look at Tennessee's community.

Inside linebacker is a position of need for Tennessee. They've been aggressive about trying to recruit top-tier prospects, landing in four-star linebacker Edwin Spillman's top six a few days ago. It seems Tennessee is firmly in the mix for Brown as well, but they need a few more strong moments like Saturday to compete for him legitimately.
