The state of Tennessee has a bunch of top prospects for this upcoming recruiting class. The Volunteers have been historically known for targeting plenty of in-state talent in attempts to keep the targets home. This year is a great year to do so as well. Here are some of the guys you might see Tennessee land or make a huge push for.

George MacIntyre, QB

MacIntyre is a five-star quarterback from Brentwood Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. He measures in at around 6-6 and 185 pounds and has a ton of talent. He does well escaping pressure and throwing on the run, as he has an athletic background considering he is a Power-5 prospect in both football and basketball. Tennessee is in a race for MacIntyre, alongside opponents Alabama and LSU. He is no longer taking visits, and it has been stated for months that it looks like MacIntyre could be making a decision as early as January.

Cameron Sparks, WR

Cameron Sparks is an athlete from Chattanooga, Tennessee, who plays at Baylor High School. He measures in at around 6-4 and 210 pounds and can play on either side of the ball. During the season, Sparks received most of his snaps on the offensive side at wide receiver, and some of the snaps even came from the running back position; however, he has played safety and linebacker as well. He would be a great pickup for the Volunteers, as Tennessee has been recruiting Sparks since his 8th-grade year. Tennessee looks to be the leader here; however, Florida State, Georgia, Auburn, and Michigan are all serious contenders.

Ethan Utley, DL

Ethan Utley is a defensive force for Ensworth High School in Nashville, Tennessee. Height measures in at around 6-4 and 270 pounds, and has recently released a top schools list. On Christmas, the talented in-state athlete released a top-five that consisted of Tennessee, Texas, Syracuse, Oklahoma, and Michigan. Utley is already connected to a couple of Tennessee commits, as he has a past with two Milton defensive backs, which include Dylan Lewis and Tyler Redmond. Lewis stated, “We played youth football together and built a strong relationship. That’s like a brother to me, and I need him at Rocky Top." Redmond also stated, "I want Ethan Utley for sure! Let’s become teammates again because I already played with him in Little League, so why not do it again?” Utley has visited Tennessee multiple times, and the Vols look to be in a great spot in this recruitment.

Jaylan Morgan, S

Morgan is a safety from Rockvale High School in Rockvale, Tennessee. He measures in at around 6'0, 180 pounds, and is currently Crystal Balled by Steve Wiltfong on 247Sports to Tennessee, which was put in on the website back in November. Morgan visited the Vols multiple times, and it’s safe to say that Tennessee is likely a leader at this point in the recruitment.

Chauncey Gooden, OL

Gooden is an inside offensive lineman from Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tennessee. He was teammates with Kaleb Beasley and Edwin Spillman, who are both signed to Tennessee football. He released a top school list that consisted of Michigan, Oregon, Auburn, Colorado, Oklahoma, Tennessee, South Carolina, Missouri, Clemson, and Georgia. Tennessee is definitely in this recruitment.

CJ Jimcoily, DB

CJ Jimcoily is also from Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tennessee, and he plays defensive back and did so alongside Tennessee signee Kaleb Beasley. Height measures around 6'3 and 200 pounds, and has yet to release a top school list. Back in early November, Jimcoily stated, “I’m reaching the point of beginning to narrow down my top schools. That’s coming sooner than later if nothing spontaneous appears. I’ve got a couple more schools that haven’t offered but are beginning to show interest in me that I will also consider. Tennessee, though, is among the schools that will be on my final list. Oklahoma, UNC, LSU, and Michigan are also on that list.” to Volunteer Country. Tennessee is in this recruitment, and it’s safe to say that Jimcoily will be a force no matter where he goes.

Radarious Jackson, WR

Jackson is a 6’2, 180-pound wideout from Memphis, Tennessee. He is a bit under the radar, as many recruiting services have him unranked. Tennessee emerged in the recruitment of Jackson back in October when they offered, and after that, he visited in November. Since then, it’s felt like Tennessee was a front-runner for the Sheffield High School wideout.

Joakim Dodson, WR

Dodson is a familiar name around the Tennessee recruitment. He has camped with the Vols, has visited the Vols multiple times, and was offered back in January 2023. He is 6'0, 180 pounds, and plays ball at Collierville High School in Collierville, Tennessee. He would be another wideout for the Vols to add, and they are definitely at an advantage based on the number of times he has already been to Tennessee.

Daune Morris, ATH

Daune Morris is a running back prospect from Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He measures in at around 5'9, 180 pounds, and was recently offered by the Volunteers. He hasn’t released a top school list; however, Kentucky seems to be in a strong spot with the prospect. Morris hit the scene hard after transferring from Red Bank in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as he was a Mr. Football semifinalist behind Boo Carter, who is signed to Tennessee. Boo and Daune train together some, and that could be an interesting selling point for the Volunteers.

Jhrevious Hall, DL

Hall is a guy whom Tennessee offered late in 2022 and has been to Tennessee several times since. He is around 6’2 and 270 pounds and plays high school ball at Columbia Central High School in Columbia, Tennessee. This would be a huge addition to the class, as Tennessee jumped in on this recruitment early. Hall and Utley seem to be the two in-state guys in this position group that they would love to land.

Jay'len Mosley, S

Mosley is an athlete from Jackson Christian High School in Jackson, Tennessee. He measures in at around 6'0, 190 pounds. He has been to Tennessee twice since being offered by the Volunteers for unofficial visits. The Vols have been in heavy on many DBs, with Mosley being one of the guys they are in on. As time progresses, seeing if they can do enough to land him will be interesting.
