Longhorns Continue Scuffling, Fall to Aggies 9-2: Live Game Log

Midweek games in college baseball are known for their unpredictability. Anything is on the table, from high-scoring shootouts to massive upsets that shake up the rankings.

Well, on Tuesday we could get a bit of both happening when the No. 24 Texas Longhorns (7-4) host the their hated in-state rivals, the No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies (11-0). These two teams enter their midweek contest on drastically different trajectories.

The Longhorns find themselves on a three-game losing skid after a rough weekend in Houston, with each loss more heartbreaking than the one before it. On the other hand, the Aggies are riding high with a sparkling undefeated record after mowing through their schedule so far.

While four losses in a row this early in the season, especially in non-conference play, isn't a season ender it certainly is something the Longhorns would like to avoid. Meanwhile, a win of this caliber heading into conference play could go offer a huge momentum boost.
