'Unbelievable!': New Atlanta Falcons Coach Lauds Longhorns Ex Bijan Robinson

Texas Longhorns and Atlanta Falcons star Bijan Robinson's new offensive coordinator could not be more excited to get to work with his new running back.

There are few players in the NFL who posses the game-breaking potential of former Texas Longhorns and current Atlanta Falcons star running back, Bijan Robinson.

At any given time, Robinson can take over a game, or turn what looks like nothing into an impact play.

And according to new Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson, he could not be more excited to get to work with that kind of talent.

“I saw Bijan play (at Texas) we had a bye week in 2022 when I was with the Rams," Robinson said. "Bijan had about 180 yards of total offense. It seemed like every time he touched the football, something good was going to happen. That was my first exposure to him."

"Seeing him play in person up close, I was like, ‘This guy is unbelievable.' Then you study him throughout the draft and you realize what a special player he is. With the ball in his hands, there are so many things he can do. There’s nothing he can’t do. That’s what gets you excited."

Robinson certainly showcased all that and more in his rookie season, finishing the year with 1,463 total yards from scrimmage (976 rushing, 487 receiving) and eight total touchdowns.

And by the end of his first campaign, Robinson found himself in contention for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award and established himself as a certified NFL star in the process.

However, according to his offensive coordinator, it is not just Robinson's skills on the field, but also his character off of it that set him apart as both a person and a player.

"Just getting to talk to him the other day, what a great guy," Robinson said. "I’ve got goosebumps thinking about it because knowing that we’ve still got a couple of months to wait, but certainly excited to work with a guy like Bijan.”

The two Robinsons will begin their work together on April 1, when the Falcons are able to begin offseason programs.
