Longhorns Land Commitment From Oregon State Transfer Silas Bolden

The Texas Longhorns have added another dynamic receiving threat to the offense for 2024 in Oregon State's Silas Bolden.

The Texas Longhorns have scored another huge commitment via the NCAA Transfer Portal. And once again, the addition comes at wide receiver, with former Oregon State standout Silas Bolden committing to the program.

He now becomes the fifth transfer add for the Longhorns this offseason, joining fellow receivers Matthew Golden (Houston) and Isaiah Bond (Alabama), safety Andrew Mukuba (Clemson) and edge rusher Trey Moore (UTSA).

Bolden's commitment comes just two days after the commitment of Bond on Sunday, giving the Longhorns three elite additions to their receiving corps, and making it arguably the best group of pass catchers in the country.

This past season, he and now-Florida State-bound quarterback DJ Uiagalelei formed quite the connection, as Bolden racked up career highs in every category.

He finished the year with 54 catches for 746 yards and five receiving touchdowns while averaging 13.8 yards per catch. He also added two rushing scores and returned a punt for a touchdown.

Bolden picked the Longhorns over programs such as Washington, Michigan State, Auburn, Kansas State, and USC - all of which offered the California native according to his social media.

According to 247Sports, Bolden ranked as the No. 9 available wide receiver in the portal.

The former Oregon State star joins a Longhorns team that is attempting to replace 217 catches, 3,046 yards, and 19 touchdowns with Xavier Worthy, Adonai Mitchell, Jordan Whittington, and Ja'Tavion Sanders all off to the NFL.

And with the 5-foot-8, 157-pound speedster now in tow, alongside Bond, Golden, Johntay Cook II, DeAndre Moore, five-star freshman Ryan Wingo, and four-stars Aaron Butler, Parker Livingstone, and Freddie Dubose Jr., it appears they have done exactly that.
