On Saturday evening, the No. 11 Texas Longhorns were able to pull off what could be one of their most important wins in program history over Nick Saban and No. 3 Alabama on the road.

The game was an absolute masterclass showing from both quarterback Quinn Ewers and head coach Steve Sarkisian, who put his young quarterback and offense in position to succeed all game. The win is significant enough to already be trending on the app formerly known as Twitter, and it is also significant enough that a handful of former Longhorns took the time to post about the massive win.

One of the alumni to do so was former quarterback Sam Ehlinger.

Really the only quarterback since Colt McCoy to find success in Austin, Ehlinger was beloved by the fan base during his time at Texas.

His social media post on Saturday night will only increase the fondness that Texas fans have for him. While celebrating Texas' huge win over Alabama, the current Colts quarterback, also took the opportunity to throw some shade at in-state rival Texas A&M who lost to an unranked Miami team on Saturday.

The Aggies were on the wrong end of a 48-33 shootout, that saw them blow a double-digit first-half lead. The hashtag that Ehlinger included also pokes fun at the fact that Texas will be joining Texas A&M in the SEC, which based on reports and rumors during this past year or so of realignment, was the last thing that the Aggies wanted to happen.
