WATCH: Longhorns WR AD Mitchell Scores Dagger TD vs. Alabama

In this story:
Texas Longhorns receiver AD Mitchell has found the end zone numerous times during his multiple appearances in the College Football Playoff.
As a result, making big plays in the second half of Saturday's huge 34-24 road win over the No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide hardly looked difficult for the championship-winning receiver.
After he scored a quick, seven-yard touchdown to begin the fourth quarter and give Texas a 20-16 lead, Mitchell took it one step further a few possessions later.
Following a 31-yard gain from Jordan Whittington, Mitchell got free behind the Alabama secondary and hauled in a floating ball from Quinn Ewers for a 39-yard touchdown. The score put the Tide away, as Alabama went three-and-out on its next possession before the Longhorns drained seven minutes of clock.

Mitchell finished the win with three catches for 78 yards and two scores.
He won two titles during his time with the Georgia Bulldogs, and despite some injury issues, came up clutch on the big stage when his team needed it most. Four of Mitchell's 21 career games at Georgia came in the College Football Playoff. Incredibly, he caught a touchdown in all four of those contests on just eight total receptions.
This makes his journey back to his home state this season a notable one, as he's arrived to Austin for of campaign full of major expectations for the Longhorns. These expectations have now grown Texas' huge road win over Alabama.
The Longhorns will host the Wyoming Cowboys in Austin next Saturday.
