Longhorns vs. Alabama for 2024 WR Target Aeryn Hampton

The Texas Longhorns and Alabama Crimson Tide are the final two choices for 2024 receiver Aeryn Hampton.

The Texas Longhorns and Alabama Crimson Tide will face off for the second straight season later this fall. But before they look to live up to the thrill of last year's exciting 20-19 finish in Austin, the two future SEC foes will be battling it out for one of the better play-makers in the class of 2024.

Carthage (Carthage, Texas) 2024 receiver/athlete Aeryn Hampton announced Wednesday that he's cut his choices down to just Texas and Alabama. A four-star recruit per 247Sports' rankings, Hampton has official visits set for both schools, traveling to Austin on June 16 and Tuscaloosa on June 23.

Hampton has done a little bit of everything during his high school career, as it'll be hard to find anyone posting these kind of all-around numbers.

Per 247Sports' stats for Hampton, he's totaled 99 catches for 2,190 yards and 25 touchdowns over the past two seasons. He's also posted 23 carries for 327 yards and seven touchdowns.

But that's just on offense.

On defense, Hampton has tallied 148 tackles, nine tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, 11 pass breakups and an incredible 10 pick-sixes on 18 total interceptions. To add insult to injury for the opposing team, he's also returned two kickoffs back for touchdowns.

While stats don't always tell the story, Hampton's case might be an exception. He has proven he can find the end zone in all three phases. These numbers will only become more impressive once he takes the field again this fall, and you can bet Texas and Alabama will be watching.
