WATCH: Longhorns Close Out win vs. Baylor

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers continues to tear apart defenses, finding his top target Xavier Worthy for a score

The No. 3 Texas Longhorns hit the road following a victory over Wyoming, taking on a struggling Baylor squad.

With Texas just beating up on the Bears, Quinn Ewers was able to add to the lead after he connected with speedy wide receiver Xavier Worthy. With the Longhorns up 31-6, Ewers hit Worthy in stride on a slant play which he took 21 yards to the house.

The touchdown gave Ewers his ninth on the year, while giving him the first on the day as he also had a rushing touchdown.  As for Worthy, he is having a fairly quiet day with tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders leading the Longhorns in both catches and receiving yards on the day.

Worthy, who is in his third season with the team, has the third-most receiving touchdowns (24) in program history despite being 11th in receiving yards (1,993) and catches (141).

In last Saturday's 31-10 win over the Wyoming Cowboys, Worthy's 44-yard catch-and-run touchdown helped the Longhorns break the game open in the fourth quarter. He helped Texas move to 3-0 while finishing with four catches for 56 yards and the score.

In other words, it seems Worthy has a way of making an impact at any given moment.

With the win, Texas will advance to 4-0 on the season while Baylor will fall to 1-3 on the year, and continue to have issues this season.

The Longhorns will take the field for another Big 12 matchup next Saturday when they return home to face the Kansas Jayhawks in Austin.
