AUSTIN, Texas -- Looking to make a name for himself in the 2023 NBA Draft pool, former Texas Longhorns guard Sir'Jabari Rice has accepted an invite to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, he told Draft Express.

The final rosters for the eight selected teams to participate in the tourney are yet to be announced.

Rice, who captured the hearts of Texas fans during his only year with the program this past season, will now look to make an impression on NBA scouts when the event tips-off in Portsmouth, VA on Wednesday, April 12.

The PIT is the only postseason camp in the country that is restricted to college basketball seniors or graduates, meaning Rice will be competing against other players with tons of experience hooping at the collegiate level.

Rice won the Big 12's Sixth Man of the Year this season after appearing in all 38 games for the Longhorns while making just three starts - all of which came in the Big 12 Tournament.

Despite his role off the bench, Rice was arguably Texas' best player at times this past season. He finished second on the team in scoring with 13 points per game and led the Longhorns in scoring in 11 games.

He'll now look to show off his elite shot-fake, shooting ability and decision-making with hopes of landing on the draft radar.
