OFFICIAL: Four-Star DL D'Antre Robinson Signs With Texas

The Texas Longhorns were able to fend off just about every major program for the services of one of the top defensive linemen in the country.

After being a weakness for quite some time for the Texas Longhorns, their defensive line has become one of their biggest strengths under Bo Davis.

Something that is evident when simply looking at T'Vondre Sweat who has developed into an absolute monster for Texas. In fact, Sweat was recently awarded the Outland Trophy, which is awarded yearly to the nation's best college interior lineman on offense or defense.

However, in the case of Sweat and a couple of other staples on the Texas front, they are likely off to the NFL at the conclusion of this season. This means they will need to rebuild what has become such a prominent unit for them, and four-star defensive tackle D'Antre Robinson figures to be a perfect addition to the Texas defensive line.

The four-star out of Orlando, Florida officially signed with the Longhorns on Wednesday.

The Longhorns beat out a ton of schools for his services, as 247Sports has Robinson holding at least 60 offers. When it came down to the schools that were in the thick of things, the Longhorns won out over Florida and Alabama among others.

247Sports has the 6-foot-4, 315-pound Robinson ranked as the No. 249 player in the country, No. 33 defensive lineman, and the No. 35 player in the state of Florida.

This season, he racked up 79 total tackles, nine tackles for a loss, 10 sacks, an interception, and also had a one-yard receiving touchdown. With his size, he may have a chance to come in right away and find a spot in the rotation. For Texas, they are hoping he is able to pick up where Sweat leaves off.
